Bulgaria has no working restrictions for migrant workers from the European Union. All other nationalities are subject to a work permit from the National Employment Agency, depending on their skill set and specialized knowledge. All work permits are issued upon employers’ request and are valid for up to one year and can be extended for additional three years for management positions.
